I don’t post a lot of articles, but this is a great one from today’s Guardian (UK):

Not Your Typical American

I still wake up with night terrors from that speech she gave at the Rethug convention, lol… Seriously though, I happened to catch O’Reilly last night asking her about the comment she made to Couric, or lack of comment really, when she was stymied and could not say one newspaper or magazine that she reads. O’Reilly rattled off a number of publications that he reads. Palin’s response, was that she could already tell how the interview was going to go at that point (presumably one of the most softball ‘journalists’ in the country was giving her a hard time, rofl!), so she had mixed feelings about her participation (in the interview)! And even to O’Reilly she fought to get this point across (and extremely inarticulately, no doubt her people must have coached her how to answer this, this is Faux for chrissakes, they probably gave her all the questions weeks in advance!)

If anyone hasn’t seen the movie Idiocracy, see it (it’s pretty dumb I don’t really like the comedy aspect of it, but the premise of the movie is great)! We are going to be putting Kool-aid on farm fields if Sarah Palin becomes president! And we’ll have to dig up a janitor, or man or woman who walks school children across the street somewhere or something who still reads books (or maybe has a home flower garden) to save us!

I’m wondering if the Bilderbergers, Rockfellers, or someone like that are behind her or something (they apparently aren’t sick of having a dolt lob missiles and wantonly preemptively invade sovereign foreign states; and stupid the rest of us we thought that we were beyond this sort of thing!), she shouldn’t be allowed to have her ramblings heard (or course neither should Bush have, or Reagan for that matter; so I guess we’ve had an Idiocracy for some time, and somehow I’ve missed it, haha; actually not that funny for those of us who have to live here!).

p.s. I even read in an MSM article that 70% of Americans don’t think that she is qualified to be president! Even in dumbed down Amerika! And does anyone seriously think that she wrote that book! Of course, that’s not new, I’m reminded of the supposed OJ confession (I wonder where the heck that book went/is I thought the proceeds were supposed to have gone to the Goldman family), and of course every ‘celebrity’ and/or ‘luminary’ that graces a talk show stage hocking some sort of alleged ‘autobiography’ or ‘character building’ excerpts from their life!

Today a number of self-styled Palinistas (steadfast, unthinking, unfeeling, unwavering partisans for the ‘pride’ of Wasilla), marched into a brick wall to prove their affinity and affection for their mentally Lilliputian leader. The Palinistas hosted the event for the National Abortion Clinic Bomber’s Society, who were also holding a bake sale, and giving away loot bags to passersby at the (soon to be annual) event. The Palinistas said that marching into a brick wall was akin to taking a grenade for their addle-brained leader; and that not only would they march into a brick wall, but they would sashay just about anywhere for their ‘rogue’ dunderhead. The Palinistas said they looked forward to the day when it would be Sarah, and not an intelligent well spoken, Ivy League graduate who would be signing off on the boondoggles pursued by the United States Federal Government.

Marget Ionesco, who organized the walk into an inanimate, incredibly solid, concrete post, had this to say about a potential forthcoming Palinista (2012) electoral victory, “Just because Sarah cannot speak her native language, nor can she add two and two together, she can sign ‘X’ on a bill, just about as well as nearly any functional illiterate [or first, second, or third grader] can! And she’ll look good while doing it too [in her favorite consignment store clothes from Wasilla, yeah right, it's Bloomies from now on for this moose hunting, caribou babe!]!” Ionesco also suggested that gutting a fish, and serving moose stew on paper plates and napkins were very underrated skills/talents (for a potential presidential candidate), and that all of the voters should seriously consider that when making their decision at the polls in the fall of two-thousand twelve.

Bill Pitts added to Ionesco’s servile flattery of the former (less than one term) Governor of Alaska (one of the least populated states in the country; probably one of the least populated territories, states, provinces, or whatever you call it, of all the world’s known civilian/pelt trading outposts!), “Just look at Jim Jones’ people they were only willing enough to follow him to Guyana, and swallow cyanide spiked sugary beverages to prove their allegiance to his message and system of views. We’re just holding this event to prove that we would be willing to go even further, and erase even more human lives in the process of showing of our support for the dearly beloved former [less than one term] Governor of Alaska.”

Pitts further clarified his outlook/learned point of view, “I’ll tell you why we’re raising money for abortion clinic bombers, and it’s because although we care for non really existing humans; or what you in the liberal media call fetuses, we are looking to expunge some of the human beings that are walking here and now among us today! These people are not doing the lord’s work, nor do they have his celestial authorization to do what it is that they’re doing in any way, shape, or form, anyway! So we are simply looking to reign down some divine justice upon them, and their ungodly acts and intentions that they pursue in diablerie’s service and in Beelzebub’s name!”

Pitts elaborated, “In fact, we agree, at least partially with that no good Coloradan communist professor, Churchill [though we have no idea who Hannah Arendt is, nor do we have any knowledge of what any of her ideas/theories were about either]; who we, of course, protested vehemently against, granting his freedom of speech and tenured intellectual rights [the Constitution is too liberal and should be significantly amended, either that or scrapped completely in favor of fiat rule by a strong authoritarian father figure; if she's a babe we'll except a mother figure like our beloved Caribou Sarah!]. If I were to tell you the absolute God’s honest truth, however; we agree with the guy, that Churchill feller, except for one minor peccadillo; it’s that we believe that the Eichmanns are the liberals, the Democrats, the dark skinned races and people, and the RINO’s (Republicans In Name Only) within the ranks of our own Republican cadre!”

Randall Forestal, also in attendance at the event, holding up a sign calling for unity among the venerable fraternal order of all the world’s moose hunters, issued reporters on the scene some incisive comments, “We would never, ever even think to ‘go rogue’, though we know that dearest Sarah did it; if you understand why she did it, then you’ll know why it was acceptable! The liberal John McCain’s pinko, liberal advisory and spokes nancy people told her just to do what it is that they were sayin’, for her agenda, in campaigning for John Mickey Mouse, er Joy McCain! I say her agenda, but it was really thur agenda, cooked up down thur in that thur Were-shington, you know the gay one [agenda]!”

Forestal further enlightened reporters attending the event about the Mulderian-like ‘conspiracy’, “As I was sayin’, liberal city slicker wussies! McCain’s nancy boys, his weak kneed nancy boy spokes critters told her just to follow their wimpy orders that they were givin’ ‘er; and that she had to take ‘um, and that she ought to like takin’ ‘um too! They were fixin’ for her to be a puppet of that Democrat in Republican’s clothin’, the morally disreputable John McCain [he once even condemned the good God fearing Christians of the internationally celebrated, revered, respected, and renowned Robert Jones University]! Everyone knows that McCain stole them nominations from Duncan Howser, and that thur TV lawe-YER Fred Thomas! Maybe if we’d nominated one of them limp wristed Hollywood types, that coulda been good fer us along the way! The liberal fix was in to give us die-hard far right-wingers, a phony conservative like Mickey Mouse er whatcha call him Joy McCain? I call him Joy McLiberal, actually (well that or Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse McCain) but you can call him whatever you city slickers in the liberal media choose ta call him by, ok!”

Forestal furthered his insights into the purpose for the festive gala/event, “We will stay loyal literally until the end, and until if and when it kills us! We, of course, intend our loyalty for Sarah to lead to mass killings of a wide variety of innocent human souls! In fact, probably only second to Sarah, is our love for my particular boyhood idol, the honorable Senator Joseph McCarthy from the great state of Wisconsin! Not that old Joe Mc-C ever killed anyone, but I’m sure he would have loved for some commie nancy boys to be tortured down there at that thur Git-tanamo Bay! Git-er-done, Git-er-done old Joe Mc-C woulda said! While torturin’ them communist limp wristed, nancies! Hell ya! That woulda been the ticket McCarthy/Palin or Palin/Mc-C; hey that’s kind of like Lennon and McCartney or McCartney/Lennon [who were peaceniks that we hate, but, nevertheless, they surely had that somethin' special that you just can't quite put your finger on!]!”

The event/jolly good free for all, ended with only about 10-15 casualties, and merely one to two near death experiences! All in all, nothing to write home about, or that it’s too necessary to get very worked up about (at all/whatsoever)! A woman with a limp will now be driving around one of those motorized vehicles for the rest of her livin’ days, and an elderly gentleman with a hip replacement can now kiss that particular faux appendage goodbye! But it was all in good fun and fund raising for the National Abortion Clinic Bomber’s Society, and free t-shirts, chicken, and foam fingers were had by all who were in attendance at the Ku Klux Klan-esque lynching er political event.

Democratic Party fails to keep politicians accountable

The Democratic Party is dead. It might be walking, but it is effectively dead. It is time for a third party. Sure the Democrats have had ups and downs but the long, slow slide started when we failed to prosecute Richard Nixon for obvious crimes.

We let the oil companies steal from us during the gas shortages. We failed to stand up to the “government is the problem” propaganda of Ronald Reagan. We failed to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. We didn’t prosecute George H.W. Bush and his cronies for crimes committed in Central America. We said nothing when Bill Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act of 1997, which allowed unparalleled consolidation in news media and the spread of anti-public propaganda worthy of Tokyo Rose or Joseph Goebbels.

We allowed the Supreme Court to appoint George W. Bush to a position he was clearly unsuited for and then re-elected him again four years later. We let Bush take away civil rights, violate the Constitution and lie us into two illegal wars.

We allowed the appointment of Supreme Court justices that only serve the mega-corporations and their leaders. And now we are allowing the right wing to kill true health-care reform, change that could transform the lives of millions of Americans for the better, free citizens from dead-end jobs just to maintain health insurance and create a new business climate that would add jobs for millions.

For decades the Democratic Party has failed to stand strong in the face of propaganda, lies and those who have stolen our prosperity. It is time to start a true progressive party, wooing actual liberals from the Democratic Party and wooing true patriots from the Republican Party.

We must start now, with the next election, and never fail to stand up to the bullies who are screaming in our faces as they reach into our pockets.

The McCarthyism on there is CRAZY! I was watching O’Nutjob talking to a former marine (he had been a marine for something like 20 years, now retired), about what inside knowledge he could offer America about the Muslim community (this man was also Caucasian but either had been or was still currently a Muslim American)… I’ve never seen anything like this, but tragically; I assume that someone like Glenn Beck is fully on board with this sort of thing! I’m strongly for freedom of speech and expression but this is beginning to border on the kind of thing that shouldn’t even be given a platform on Network and/or Cable television (not that Rupert Murdoch, or for that matter anyone in the ‘Faux family’, has any sort of moral scruples)! The kind of things that the Fox nutbars have said all along about liberals, it seems that, they are starting to target towards Muslim Americans (with liberals it’s acceptable, or at least so it seems to be, because they can get off saying they find repellent what liberals believe in, but why are they allowed to say that American Muslims are essentially not Americans because of their faith/system of beliefs [and/or values?])?

What’s next are they going to say the Hopi Indians faith is not (and/or anti) American? Who, of course, were here before nearly all of us, unless anyone reading this is of Native American ancestry… Of course, I suppose there aren’t Hopi radical extremists running around the globe; but, at the same time, that’s my point exactly, Bin Laden and his ilk are radical extremists (who only happen to be of the Muslim faith tradition, they could theoretically be nearly anything, girl scouts, sanitation workers, pagans, Wiccans, horse traders, witch doctors you name it!).

Today Senator Arlen Specter formerly of the great state of Pennsylvania, Earth, the United States, announced his permanent removal from the ranks of global citizens, homo sapiens, and residents of the red-blooded patriotic U.S. of A. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, commenting on Specter’s extrication from the greater human community had this to say, “We in the red states always knew there was something different about Arlen, now that the truth is out and we know that Arlen is a star child, a product of the galactic nether worlds, we can surely put that baby to rest.” In explaining what led up to his decision, the post-human senator, Specter, stated, “Increasingly the philosophy of the whole of humanity is becoming extreme, and out of step with nearly my entire system of thought. I realized it was time to out myself as a little green person, and not a natural born resident of this, the third planet from this solar system’s great sun.”

Vice President Biden credited his fortitude and encouragement with having inspired Specter to divulge that he was not really a part of the wider human-oid/-esque family (and actually more of an intergalactic neighbor/fellow traveler/hitchhiker/space brother and/or friend). “It’s been a long time coming really”, said Biden. “They don’t call me the third senator from Pennsylvania for naught! I knew that Arlen wasn’t from Scranton, or any place else in my boyhood state, he had to have come from the ether, sent to us by the cosmos, the heavens above.” Barack Obama added, “It was important to have intelligent non-human biological entities in the United States Senate, and he’d be looking forward to working on health care reform and other critically important issues to the American people, with the ex-human senator in the days to come.” A spokesman for the beltway lobbying group AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) said this, about the senior Senator’s defection, “As long as he’s with Israel, first and foremost [before the United States] we don’t care if he’s from Venus and has purple polka dots all over his face.”

Obama, in concluding his comments on Specter’s admission, stated, “This is what we’re talking about when we’re talking about change, not only changing policy and national priorities and prerogatives, but changing the composition of the U.S. Senate so that it more accurately reflects the diverse array of characteristics that make up that which is the essence of the citizenry of this vast and great union of states.” Senator Mitch McConnell, the distinguished Republican minority leader in the United States Senate, also in attendance at the bipartisan event, made the following remarks, “Arlen being a Klingon, or whatever the hell he is, will, of course, never be able to attain the high office of the President of the United States; we in Washington, however, look forward to having him continue to serve the American oligarchy er people in the venerable Congress of these unparalleled and miraculous, even sublimely important, impenetrable fifty states.”

Although Specter is not a human, or a native of our picturesque, but tiny blue world (his home gaseous giant is three to four times as large!); he is expected to be backed by the President and Vice President in the forthcoming Pennsylvania Democratic Primary affair. Specter’s unprecedented Presidential and Vice Presidential support, is expected to immunize the Senior Senator from any and all expected challengers along the way (presumably en route his umpteenth re-election in a Soviet-style ‘campaign’); and will undoubtedly nullify the will (if not the intent also) of the voters of the illustriousness and eminently respected Keystone State; all the while, all of this same old Washington, Machiavellian, behind closed doors ‘hardball’ takes shape.

I recently received a rejection email from Oped News, and I did not receive any explanation whatsoever from the editor (I was only told to read the Oped writing guidelines where I did not find anything that should have disqualified my article, I have not been rejected before, particularly considering this rejection stipulated that I could not re-post my article as a diary or with modifications, so I can only assume that the ideas I was presenting are what scared the Oped News management). Oped News is (or at least was) an important forum for disseminating information to the wider progressive community. I liken this action to what is done when a left-of-center or liberal pressure group submits an advertisement to one of the big three corporate networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS), and the advertisement is rejected because of its alleged subversive content. The American public is done a disservice, because the public debate is stifled, because ‘the children’ and/or ‘the little people’, aka the taxpaying American public, are determined to be too fragile to receive a legitimate progressive or liberal point of view (or something that might challenge the very narrow political ‘mainstream’).

If Oped News is interested in silencing some opinions, while fostering others, then I don’t think it is truly offering an important service to the global social justice community. If ideas that are controversial are not allowed to be given a proper airing (in the light of day) for everyone to agree or disagree on, then how do we expect to progress in our worldviews, and our analysis of what’s happening in American society (and the greater world in general)? If Oped News is in the business of ‘left’ gatekeeping, then I think it should be open, honest, and front and center about it! I have been strongly criticizing Barack Obama, and the Democrats since I’ve been contributing to Oped News (one of the first articles I contributed was called Barack Obama’s Rogues Gallery of Advisers, and it was headlined!), and I believe the progressive movement is not the Democratic Party, and it sure as hell is not one particular corporatist duplicitous politician named Barack H. Obama!

As far as I can tell my article was rejected because in it I argued that Barack Obama is an evil person! So, there goes, I must admit to being sorry, I’m sorry, I’m SO truly very sorry, for finding it evil to kill innocent Afghani civilians via unconscionable drone attacks in the name of a failed (Bushian creation) War on Terror! I’m also all too sorry that I think it’s evil to supply weapons of mass destruction to a military (the Israeli military) that has committed numerous crimes against humanity (including women and children), and wantonly violated international norms, laws and standards (not to mention U.N. resolutions, anyone remember how sacrosanct this was for Iraq?)! I’m sorry that I think it’s evil for more human lives to be wasted away, in incarceration in this country, than in any other nation on the planet!

Obama gave a speech fairly recently, where he mentioned what I just stated about imprisonment in this country; and the question I have for the divine one is what the fuck is he going to do about it?!! I’ve yet to hear his suggestion for a policy that will release all of the non-violent offenders of victimless crimes, back into the community (instead of purposelessly rotting away in human warehousing facilities); to be productive citizens again contributing to their families and society’s welfare in general.

I thought Oped was supposed to a participatory space where the membership had input (not Rob Kall’s personal fiefdom) into the website’s decisions? Rob Kall and his drunk on power editorial team have taken over Oped to use for their own devices, and these folks with their swelled heads seem unabashedly determined to privilege the ‘right’ thoughts and punish what they deign to be the ‘wrong’ thoughts/opinions and/or principles. They are intent to promote those who do massah’s bidding, and undermine, ban, and censor those who aren’t in agreement with their shortsighted Machiavellian plan.

Oped News has truly become a shell of a once great website, when many of the decent, well-intentioned, honorable, and forthright people who have since been excommunicated from the site were active there editing and contributing. It’s truly a monumental shame that a formerly progressive website, is now a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party and Barack Obama’s frothing at the mouth sycophantic minions. If anyone can tell me of a site, that’s currently functioning like the old Oped News was; please drop me a line, I’d love to take part in it, instead of the current incarnation of that website (which I have, of course, been banned from by the administration for my worldview and system of beliefs so, needless to say, that is not a plausible option, in the present tense, anyway).

Yay! I knew Dennis would not cave in and support Obomb ‘Em’s early Christmas present to the ‘health’ insurance oligopoly. Here’s his thoughts, on standing up for what was the only sane/rational choice!

Has anyone else noticed that if you set aside the vitriolic, hate-filled rhetoric, the irrational ‘argumentation’, and the fact that they are working toward the complete and total destruction of nearly anything compassionate, sane or decent; that these right-wing nutjob websites are like reading the Onion?
