In a new column Robert Reich argues that the forthcoming election will be passionless. In my opinion, it’s elementary (no?) that the forthcoming election should be passionless. The MSM has gone right into the horse race, at possibly one of the most critical times in our nation’s history. It is truly infotainment, it’s like follow the Republican primary or turn on UFC.

I could really care about either of the oligarchy’s candidates. This is the American system isn’t it, though? Two options given to the masses, one further to the right than the “alternative” to him (so far always a he). Reich even says, that in his view, that the electorate is actually progressive, so, of course, it is passionless then! As Noam Chomsky has been quoted as saying, Richard Nixon was — in many ways — the last of the liberal American presidents!
