Here is an absolutely asinine article in Wapo. I meditate in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, and about the only good thing the article pointed out, was that the shooter was not supposed to be engaging in drinking or violence! It sounded as if his pursuit of being a monk — became little more than lip service, if even that.

There’s a lot of evidence that meditation benefits all sorts of conditions. I’m sure that psychotropic drugs can wreak havoc on certain individuals/conditions (and have)! Why don’t they print an article on that! I doubt, though, that their advertisers would like it very much! Have not heard if this guy was on any “wonder drugs”.

Paul Joseph Watson says that he was on SSRIs. I don’t know that Watson has any smoking gun evidence, but he seems to think that this is the only treatment being offered by the VA.
