Not only is our “illustrious” mainstream media, weaning itself off the Japan Chernobyl-esque disaster story, but our benighted commander-in-chief seems to have a case of short term selective memory disorder as well. And I wonder if the nuclear power lobby could be playing a role, at all, in either of these recent occurrences/events? Former Chilean President Richard Lagos, who supported nuclear power while in office, recently stated that, “Today the conditions don’t exist to think about nuclear power. A lot of time will [have to] pass before it can be reconsidered.” Obama, of course, doesn’t seem to heed the advice of many other than long time, and exceedingly corrupted Washington political insiders — and special interest groups — but I think that in this case; he ought to take in and consider this worthwhile precaution, of the former Chilean leader’s remarks.
